Auronzo Lake
Located in the Valle d’Ansei in Auronzo di Cadore, Lake Auronzo stretches for two kilometres and is one of the clearest and most beautiful bodies of water in the Veneto region. This artificial reservoir, created by the dam built in the 1930s to block the flow of the Ansiei River, is a place of great charm and attraction. The dam ends near a small chapel dating from the 1500s, dedicated to St Christine, which is why the lake is also known as St Christine’s Lake. At Lake Auronzo you can walk, relax, canoe or hire a kayak to explore the crystal clear waters. The Auronzo Walking and Cycling Path runs along the left bank of the lake for about 8 km, offering a scenic route to Misurina, perfect for walking or cycling.

Auronzo di Cadore
Often called the beach of the Dolomites, Auronzo stretches along the Ansiei Valley, on the shores of the lake of the same name, the jewel in the crown of the Veneto Dolomites. Located at an altitude of 850 metres, it is surrounded by imposing mountains and offers a stay suitable for all ages. The combination of spectacular scenery and numerous opportunities for outdoor activities makes Auronzo an ideal base from which to explore and enjoy the wonders of the Dolomites. Canoeing courses are available on the lake, while in Auronzo and the surrounding area there are skating rinks, riding stables with lessons and other sports facilities. The Auronzo-Misurina ski area is part of the Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski area in Italy.

Sorapiss Lake
Lake Sorapiss is famous for its unmistakable turquoise water, which contrasts beautifully with the surrounding landscape. Located at an altitude of about 1,920 metres, this glacial lake can be reached via a fascinating trekking trail through spectacular alpine landscapes. The spectacular rock amphitheatre in which this precious Alpine gem is set adds to its beauty. The only support point, at altitude, is the Rifugio Vandelli, which stands a short distance from its banks.
