As part of the Dolomity SuperSki skiing complex, the Auronzo-Misurina slopes are equipped with modern ski-lift facilities and snow that is guaranteed thoroughout the winter season. Winter sport  lovers will also be able to practice cross-country skiing on the Palus San Marco and Misurina tracks, where competitive races at national level are often held. Furthermore, you might want to try out other activities such as Sleddog, a favourite with children who get in this way the opportunity to familiarise themselves and play with husky dogs;  indoors ice-skating is avaiable at the Palaghiaccio, which is also the venue for ice hockey, broomball and curling tournaments and ice skating (both artistic and dance) exhibitions.

And there’ s more … tobogganing down the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo o Monte Piana, with the possibility of rinvigorating breaks in the numerous Malghe scattered all over the surrounding mountains, snow mobile rides, go-karting on ice or ciaspe-assisted walks in the winter wonderland of the surrounding woods, which more often than not will include sightings of deers, stags, chamois, foxes and the likes. In the evenings, you may choose between any of the aforementioned events that dot the Auronzo sporting calendar or take part in the traditional “Brusa la Vecia” fete or assist to the Torchlight procession organised by the Italian Association of Skiing Masters. Finally, you might want to visit the town’s numerous shops for a unique shopping experience, take part in any of the myriad social and cultural events taking place in our vibrant town, watch a film in the local cinema or immerse yourself into a concert of traditional local music.
